Day 21, 22 & 23 - a triple feature!

I'm playing catch-up to make it to the finish line, so today is a threefer.

First book:

In this book, a girl travels all over the world, and tries to bottle up the whole experience. Conversely, all that luggage just weighs her down in the end, and she has to choose between keeping all her junk, and going to have new adventures.

Second book:

I'm still trying to figure out a twist on trains. Kids love trains. Unfortunately, I might have gone a little too scary on this one.

My monster train is HIGHLY inspired by the Cat Bus from "My Neighbor Totoro".

Book 3

Yeah, this is more of a fun drawing than it is a book idea. :)

  1. monster train. that sounds cool. I tell bedtime stories to my kids every night. I should check your blog for ideas (the kids would love it)! I'm currently on a tale of Buckaroo Sanchez, a giraffe riding cowboy, whose giraffe wears a hammer helmet to smash away at the black lion riding bandits - a spaghetti western set in africa. . . It'd be cool for the bandits to try and hold up a monster train. . . (coool)

  3. Love the travel book idea. And Monster train has some great potential. Do it quick before Nate does.
    Great images as always.

  4. The man-faced screech-owl makes me screech as well.
Monster train is the coolest, eye-drawing cover. As a kid in a school library i would pick that up first. Dinosaur express has a period-photograph accuracy that i most def respect, but it would be picked up after the kid finished reading monster train because it comes second in raw appeal.
